Dive Conditions in Manuel Antonio, Quepos
Visibility: In the Quepos and Manuel Antonio area there is a high nutrient content in the water that brings us an unbelievable amount and variety of marine life. Though the visibility does vary, it is normally in the region of 30 – 65 feet in the dry season (Dec – May) and 10 – 40 feet in the rainy season (June – November).
Water Temperature: There is very little temperature variation throughout the year in the waters of Costa Rica. Temperatures range from mid 80’s to low 70’s. For exposure protection we would recommend either a 3mm full or shorty wetsuit.
Water Movement: We do experience some currents and surge. Dive sites are selected daily for the best conditions. Thsi way you can enjoy better your Costa Rica tour. Average Dive Depths: 40 – 80 ft. Marine Life: We have an abundance and wide variety of marine life on the Central Pacific Coast of Costa Rica. Schools of Snapper, Jacks and Grunts cruise by. You can get up close and personal on the reef with Angel Fish, Moorish Idols, Surgeon Fish, Giant Damsel Fish, an array of Puffer Fish, Scrawled File Fish, Octopus, a variety of Eels, Crustaceans, Reef Sharks, Rays, Sea Turtles, Pan Tropical Dolphins and in season the majestic Humpback whales and Manta rays (Dec – April).
Underwater Topography: We have an amazing underwater environment formed by the intense volcanic activity that formed this area. Here on the pacific coast we cannot boast the same coral gardens of the Caribbean, we do have a variety of soft and hard coral formations.
Scuba Diving: (In Caño Island)
Pick up 6:00am at Pacifico Colonial. $230pp. Includes transfer, bilingual guide, tour to Caño Island, boat trip, drinks and fruits on the tour, lunch box, diving equipment and Insurance. Diving certification required.
Scuba Diving: (In Manuel Antonio)
Half day tour, 7:30am-12:30pm, snacks include (water, juice, and fruit), 2 tanks, guide, rate: $98 per person. You will be 45min in the water/ 50-60 feet deep. Diver certification required.

Snorkel Caño Island
$169 pp. Includes transfer, tour to Caño Island, boat trip, drinks and fruits on the tour, lunch box, snorkel equipment, Guide on the tour and insurance. Items to bring: swimming suit, towel, sunscreen, hat, water.
Marino Ballena Snorkel tour
$139 pp. Pick up at 7:30am. Whale watching in the waters off Marino Ballena National Park with snorkeling, swimming, cave visits and high probability to see whales, dolphins and turtles. The tours includes transfer, tour to Marina Ballena National Park, boat trips, entrance to the National Park, bilingual guide, snorkeling equipment, fruits and drinks, lunch. Items to bring: swimming suit, towel, sandals and walking shoes, sunscreen, hat.
